Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced Quality Leader to drive manufacturing quality operations across multiple programs. You will coach a team of Quality Engineers and Specialists, conduct performance reviews, and ensure adherence to AS9100 while guiding internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in aerospace/defense/advanced manufacturing quality
• Minimum 3+ years direct people management
• Experience with AS9100 Quality Management System and audits
• Experience with nonconformance, corrective actions, and AS9102 First Article Inspections
• Proven root cause analysis and sustained corrective actions
• Strong written and verbal communication to senior leadership

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Quality Engineers and Specialists
• Conduct performance reviews and identify development opportunities
• Champion adherence to AS9100 across manufacturing operations and lead audits
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (DMAIC, Kaizen, 8D)
• Develop and track quality metrics and KPIs; manage budget and cost reductions
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Design, Supply Chain, and Test teams to embed quality
• Represent Quality during hardware reviews and customer audits
• Interface with regulatory agencies (FAA, NASA) as required
