Job summary

Vast is seeking a Project Manager, Human Spaceflight and Satellites, to drive program capture, bid management, and execution across European customers and partners. You will report to the Director, European Programs and Sales, and coordinate closely with Vast HQ in Long Beach, California.

This hands-on role spans proposal management, program execution, and technical coordination, with frequent travel in Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field.
• 5–7 years in program, capture, or customer-facing project management in space/aerospace.
• Experience with European institutional customers and procurement processes.
• Strong written English; ability to coordinate across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and management of proposals, offers, and tenders with European institutions.
• Provide project management for European sales campaigns and early-stage programs across human spaceflight and satellites.
• Act as a programmatic and technical interface between European customers and Vast HQ.
• Support customer meetings, technical exchanges, and negotiations with agencies, primes, and commercial customers.
• Prepare and maintain high-quality presentation materials and program documentation.
• Track European institutional programs, funding cycles, and procurement opportunities.
• Deputize for the Director on program and bid matters as delegated.
• Represent Vast at European conferences, industry days, and agency events.
• Support the wider Vast Europe team and partner development as priorities require.
