Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the development and delivery of advanced satellite communications solutions for space vehicles. You will manage cross-functional teams, apply EVM and risk management, and drive cost, schedule, and performance outcomes across complex programs.

You will build strong customer relationships and guide proposal activities, including strategy, cost estimation, and program execution content.

Qualifications

Ten+ years in program/project management of complex technical development programs.
Experience in cost, schedule, and performance management using EVM and dashboards.
Experience managing supplier relationships, SOW development, and risk/issue escalation.
Experience leading proposal development.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to lead diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to mentor others and lead cross-functional teams.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

Apply earned value management (EVM) and risk management disciplines to plan, monitor, and control program cost, schedule, and performance.
Collaborate with functional and matrixed leadership to allocate personnel and resources for program execution.
Provide program direction and oversight of subcontractor procurement and performance to align with objectives.
Build and maintain customer relationships.
Provide timely program execution, financial status, and risk reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Support capture and business development by contributing to business model and roadmap, leading proposal development.
