Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a hands-on Systems/Manufacturing Engineer to translate engineering intent into flight-ready hardware. You will craft BOMs, build plans, and work instructions to support test, qualification, and flight across our facilities on Merritt Island.

Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering, internship experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing, GD&T knowledge, and strong CAD/Office software skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
• Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to earn trust and maintain professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent into hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by creating manufacturing BOMs and work instructions.
• Identify tools and equipment needed for manufacturing flight hardware.
• Provide shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
• Generate and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) to closure.
• Support introduction of new products by crafting manufacturing plan artifacts (build plans, duration estimates, index plans, tool lists).
