Job summary

Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to lead the build and integration of the Neutron vehicle structures. You will develop and implement manufacturing technologies, drive throughput, and create robust work instructions for complex assemblies.

Qualifications

• BS in industrial, mechanical, or aerospace engineering required.
• 2+ years of experience building/testing hardware for space launch vehicles or similar aerospace hardware.
• Demonstrated ability to model with 3D CAD, produce prints, and work with large assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the build and integration of Neutron and related flight hardware.
• Develop con-ops, ground support tooling, and processes for handling components and assemblies.
• Develop build methods to increase throughput and reduce errors.
• Support integration engineers in day-to-day vehicle integration and subsystem testing; create clear work instructions.
• Maintain planning documents and develop tools to enable vehicle processing.
