Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Instrument/Electrical Technician II in Houston, TX to join the JETSII contract. The role requires installing and wiring electrical/instrumentation systems in accordance with NEC and project schematics, with duties spanning from cable tray installation to troubleshooting.

Qualified candidates will have at least 4 years in the field, NEC knowledge, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferences for NEC/trade school training and licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of field experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• General computer and typing skills.
• Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Experience wiring, installation per schematics and NEC.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, and install electrical and instrumentation wiring.
• Install and build cable trays, conduits, and panels per schematics.
• Assemble and install cable assemblies from schematics.
• Use basic shop tools to support facility vs test stand buildups.
• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems per manuals.
