Job summary

Amentum seeks a Senior Field Engineer – Electrical / Mechanical Integration in Houston, TX. This hands-on role blends electrical troubleshooting, mechanical installation support, field execution, engineering design review, wiring documentation, test support, and technician mentorship.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree and direct experience with fielded hardware, electrical systems, low-voltage circuits, sensors, and mechanical interfaces. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.
• Minimum 15 years of hands-on field engineering and hardware integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low-voltage systems and instrumentation.
• Support mechanical installation and integration of brackets, enclosures, mounts, and cable routing.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and drawings to support installation, checkout, and fault isolation.
• Document field observations, redlines, test results, and engineering updates following program requirements.
• Mentor field technicians and support training materials and workmanship standards.
