Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. seeks a Spaceflight Hardware Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams for development, manufacturing, testing, certification, and sustaining engineering of government furnished equipment for spaceflight hardware in Houston.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of related experience, with proficiency in budgeting, cost estimating, and financial reporting; NASA/JSC flight hardware experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or permanent resident status required due to sensitive information.
• Space industry or DoD/War experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost estimating.
• NASA/JSC flight hardware processing and certification experience preferred.
• Ability to review Work Authorization Documents (WADs) for Class I hardware.
• Self-motivated, team player, adaptable to a dynamic environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, manufacturing, testing, certification, and sustaining engineering of spaceflight hardware items.
• Serve as point contact and organizer for cost estimating and budgeting processes.
• Develop and maintain financial reports monitoring cost performance against plans.
• Oversee procedures, work instructions, and process flow.
• Interface with NASA managers and customers to deliver project performance.
• Plan and execute hardware troubleshooting for mechanical/electrical failures.
• Provide strategic and logistical plans for new project development and resupply activities.
• Represent the project at flight hardware lifecycle meetings.
• Coordinate across design, procurement, fabrication, testing, data analysis, and flight delivery.
