Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electronic Component Engineer to lead a team of engineers in support of NASA space programs in Houston, Texas (77058).

The role requires a space industry background, senior-level experience, and the ability to coordinate part selection, screening, and derating for spaceflight applications. Responsibilities include interfacing with NASA customers, preparing NSPARs, and supporting test labs and manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 10+ years of related work experience.
• Experience leading a technical team.
• Interfaces with NASA customers on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for spaceflight.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Electronics Component Engineers supporting NASA projects.
• Report to Electronics and Electrical Section Manager.
• Provide EEE parts support to NASA GFE Flight Projects and NASA Programs.
• Evaluate EEE parts lists for hardware criticality and environments.
• Report on manufacturers, materials, construction, and derating of parts to the PCB.
