Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. in Houston seeks a Spaceflight Hardware Project Manager to lead the development, manufacturing, testing, certification, and sustaining engineering of major government furnished equipment for spaceflight hardware projects.

The role requires collaboration with NASA managers and cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, within budget, and to specification. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and

Qualifications

• US citizenship or permanent resident status required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost estimating.
• Experience with NASA/JSC flight hardware processing and certification.
• Experience with hardware anomaly troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Knowledge of NASA/JSC engineering life cycle processes.
• Ability to review Work Authorization Documents for Class I hardware.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead teams for development, manufacturing, testing, certification, and sustaining engineering of spaceflight hardware.
• Coordinate cost estimates and bases of estimate for flight hardware.
• Develop and maintain financial reports tracking cost performance.
• Oversee procedures, work instructions, and process flow.
• Review financial data for reporting accuracy.
• Interface with NASA managers and customers to deliver current project performance.
• Plan and execute hardware troubleshooting for mechanical/electrical failures.
• Develop strategic and logistic plans for new project development and resupply activities.
• Lead and represent the project at flight hardware lifecycle meetings.
• Coordinate development through design, procurement, fabrication, test, data analysis, certification, and delivery.
