Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. in Pittsburgh seeks an Electromechanical Technician to support assembly, repair, and testing of electronic and electromechanical assemblies. You will join the Manufacturing, Integration, and Test team in-person at the Pittsburgh, PA site.

The role requires 2+ years for electronics/mechanical integration, reading schematics, and experience with testing equipment. IPC standards knowledge is preferred; travel is limited and safety is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school/associate degree with required experience: 4 years or 2 years respectively.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, machine shop tools and test equipment.
• 2+ years with basic mechanical/electronics hand tools and electronics equipment.
• Experience integrating and testing electrical/mechanical systems.
• Ability to read engineering docs, schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings.
• ESD-safe handling practices understood and applied.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and test cable harnesses following IPC‑A‑620.
• Create and maintain harness docs: wiring diagrams, pinouts, build travelers, test procedures.
• Inspect harnesses and perform continuity, insulation, hipot, and functional tests.
• Assemble electromechanical subassemblies and hardware for test articles.
• Integrate electromechanical systems for ground support equipment and test articles.
• Support environmental testing and on/offsite test activities.
• Maintain electrical lab space, tool calibration, ESD compliance, and safety.
