Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to support assembly, repair, and testing of electronic and electromechanical assemblies in Pittsburgh, onsite. You will work under the Lead Electromechanical Technician within Manufacturing, Integration, and Test to ensure quality harness work and subassemblies for spaceflight hardware.

Responsibilities include wiring, testing, and documentation, along with integrating systems for ground support equipment and spacecraft.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience, or an associate degree with 2+ years.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, machine shop tools, and test equipment.
• 2+ years of experience with basic mechanical/electronics tools and equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
• Experience in integration and testing of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read engineering docs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings.
• Understanding of ESD-safe handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and test cable harnesses per IPC-A-620.
• Write and maintain harness documentation such as wiring diagrams and build travelers.
• Inspect harnesses and perform continuity, insulation resistance, hipot and functional testing.
• Assemble electromechanical subassemblies and hardware for test articles and flight hardware.
• Integrate electromechanical systems for ground support equipment and test articles.
• Support spacecraft environmental testing, including vibration, thermal and acoustic tests.
