Job summary

Barrios Technology HQ in Houston is seeking a Spaceflight Battery Hardware Project Engineer to join our engineering team supporting NASA and commercial space programs. You will provide design and test support for flight hardware and help develop verification procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering plus two years' related experience.
• Familiar with electrical components and systems.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Self-motivated, team player, adaptable to dynamic environment.
• Ability to operate in a laboratory and perform troubleshooting tasks.
• Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.
• Must visualize and work with complex mechanical/electrical systems and collaborate with others.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and test support for Johnson Space Center projects.
• Develop test procedures and verification/validation processes.
• Perform testing and verification of flight hardware.
• Maintain baseline test configurations and document changes.
• Generate paperwork: TPS, DR, DTP as needed.
• Collaborate with project managers for technical support.
• Plan and execute hardware troubleshooting.
• Work with technicians to build and test systems.
• Perform other duties as required.
