Job summary

Vast is seeking a Battery Electronics Engineer II in Long Beach, CA to support design and build of human-rated space stations. You will own battery electronics specs, perform validation, and collaborate with the Power Lead to ensure robust, reliable hardware for spaceflight environments.

The role is full-time, exempt, based in Long Beach, with opportunities to contribute to Haven Station modules and future space infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field completed or expected by June 2026
• 2+ years of experience developing electrical hardware
• Experience with battery electrical systems
• Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition (e.g. SPICE, SQL, NI hardware)

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of battery electronics specification and validation
• Design circuits for battery sensing, charging, isolation, power conversion
• Perform failure analyses and drive reliability plans at system level
