Job summary

Vast Space Llc. in Long Beach seeks a Senior Electronic Parts Engineer to support human-rated space stations and high-power satellite buses. You will lead EEE parts control and advise design engineers on reliability and part selection, reporting to the Senior Manager, EMI-EMC.

The role is full-time on site, with travel up to 10% and a strong emphasis on safety, quality assurance, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE or related field with 5+ years in an engineering role.
• Deep understanding of electronics parts for space applications.
• Experience with EEE standards and radiation effects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and operate EEE/Triple-E Parts Control Plan for space programs.
• Tailor standards for reliability while balancing cost and development rate.
• Manage EEE Parts Database and monitor via GIDEP and databases.
• Advise on part selection and design for reliability (FMECA/PFMECA).
• Support failure analysis through NDA, DPA, X-Ray, CT Scan, SEM.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain across Vast.
