Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a full-time Mechanical Engineer (Thermal Analysis) to support the Orion thermal team, performing and owning spacecraft thermal analyses across components and subsystems using Thermal Desktop and SINDA/FLUINT.

You will prepare technical memos, review program requirements, and provide thermal engineering support for TVAC testing in Cape Canaveral, FL or Denver, CO, collaborating with multiple disciplines to deliver cost-effective thermal solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Fundamental knowledge of heat transfer and thermodynamics.
• Experience supporting design, analysis, and verification across the product lifecycle.
• Strong technical writing and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform and own thermal analyses on spacecraft components and subsystems.
• Provide technical memos and data package inputs for presentations.
• Review and implement program requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Support TVAC testing in Cape Canaveral, FL or Denver, CO.
