Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join the Space Systems Sector as a Spacecraft Systems Engineer on a national security program. You will help drive design, integration, test, and on-orbit operations for spacecraft payloads and buses.

The role requires a STEM degree with 3–5+ years of experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to obtain US Government Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of engineering experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive product development to closure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.
• Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
• Support interface/communication with program, functional and subsystem leads.
• Assist with trade studies, system sensitivity studies, design optimization, and mission analysis.
