Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Systems Engineer I/II in Long Beach, CA to support our Space Systems division. You’ll manage budgets, define requirements, run simulations, and drive the technical development of spacecraft missions alongside engineers and program managers.

The role can be filled at I or II level. We value hands-on work with flight hardware and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams. Competitive compensation and equity offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (software, computer, electrical, aerospace, mechanical, or other technical field).
• Engineering experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
• Experience with satellite or spacecraft development programs is a plus.
• U.S. citizenship or right to work in the U.S. due to ITAR requirements.

• Develop and maintain technical budgets for vehicle performance.
• Define system requirements and verification approaches.
• Perform simulations and analysis across vehicle functions.
• Lead the technical development of spacecraft missions and support program management.
