Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer I in Long Beach, CA, within our Space Systems division. You will lead the development of budgets, system requirements, and verification methods, while hands-on with flight hardware to guide mission progress.

We value candidates with aerospace experience, satellite program knowledge, and U.S. citizenship. Base pay ranges significantly in California, with strong benefits and growth opportunities in a dynamic space field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (software, computer, electrical, aerospace, mechanical, or other technical engineering discipline).
• 5+ years of engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
• Experience supporting satellite or spacecraft development programs.
• U.S citizenship required due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical budgets for vehicle performance.
• Lead and own technical development of spacecraft missions.
• Assist with program and product management.
• Develop, with team, interface specifications and CONOPS.
