Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s ESG seeks a Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join our team in Seal Beach, CA; Aurora, CO; or El Segundo, CA. This position is onsite across these locations and involves working with the SEIT Mission Design team on fault and autonomy architecture for first-of-kind space vehicles.

You will collaborate with system architects and SMEs to develop solutions, produce review packages, and ensure robust fault tolerance while advancing autonomy aligned with customer risk

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with recent activity
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 1+ year experience for level 2; 3+ years for level 3

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate stakeholders to drive optimal fault and autonomy architecture.
  • Be the point of contact for customers and identify solutions meeting needs.
  • Develop software requirements for onboard fault protection and spacecraft safing modes.
  • Design autonomy and ground procedures to recover from failures.
  • Provide on-call support for system anomalies.
