Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Structures Design Engineer to lead the design and development of spacecraft structures and secondary supports, create drawings, and support builds and special projects.

The role emphasizes Creo modeling, BOM discipline, and cross-functional collaboration with customers, vendors, and management to ensure release and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace) or related field.
• 2 years of experience.
• Piece part and subassembly modeling in CREO or other CAD software and assembly drawing generation.
• Experience with CREO, and matrix laboratory (MATLAB)/Simulink is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create product specifications, negotiate design details, interfaces, test plans/procedures, and manufacturing/test processes based on program requirements.
• Assist in oversight for the integration of subcontracted hardware into spacecraft systems architecture.
• Generate engineering drawings and models with Creo and other design tools.
• Help disposition nonconformances and drive for process improvements.
