Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in Palo Alto, CA, seeks a Structures Design Engineer to lead design and development of spacecraft structures and secondary supports. You will generate drawings, support build, and manage special projects related to structural products.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in engineering, 2 years of experience, CREO proficiency, and strong communication skills to coordinate with customers, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace), or related field.
• 2 years of experience.
• Piece part and subassembly modeling in CREO or other CAD software and assembly drawing generation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; leadership and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create product specifications, negotiate design details, interfaces, test plans/procedures, and mfg/test processes based on program requirements.
• Assist in oversight for the integration of subcontracted hardware into spacecraft systems architecture.
• Generate engineering drawings and models with Creo and other design tools.
• Help disposition nonconformances and drive for process improvements.
