Apex Technology, Inc. in Playa Vista, CA is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate ground and site network infrastructure across commercial and secured environments.

This hands-on role blends architecture with security to keep critical systems highly available. You will create scalable Kubernetes clusters, enforce a strong security posture, and own reliability standards for mission-critical programs, working with security, mission operations, and program teams to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of site reliability, infrastructure, or network engineering in aerospace, defense, satellite, or mission-critical domains.
• Hands-on experience architecting and operating ground network or large-scale production network infrastructure.
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes and containers, including building and scaling high-availability clusters in production.
• Strong networking fundamentals across routing, switching, segmentation, and secure network design.
• Proven experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, automation, and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build ground and site network infrastructure across commercial and secured environments.
• Design, deploy, and scale highly available Kubernetes clusters for multi-classification workloads.
• Own the security posture of ground infrastructure with controls, hardening, and compliance.
• Build infrastructure as code using Terraform, Terragrunt, and similar tools for repeatability and speed.
• Establish observability with monitoring, metrics, logging, and alerts to catch issues early.
• Design and run CI/CD pipelines and automation to streamline deployments.
• Act as primary site reliability engineer for ground systems, driving uptime and incident response.
• Partner with security, mission operations, and program teams to ensure compliant, operable infrastructure.
• Set architectural standards and mentor engineers to raise the bar for ground infrastructure.
