Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. seeks a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate ground network infrastructure across commercial and secured environments. You will architect scalable Kubernetes platforms, enforce robust security, and own uptime for mission-critical programs.

Lead IaC, CI/CD, and observability initiatives, mentoring engineers and setting standards for Apex ground systems in a fast-paced, aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in site reliability, infrastructure, or network engineering, in aerospace/defense or mission-critical domains.
• Hands-on experience architecting and operating ground or large-scale production network infrastructure.
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes and containers, including high-availability clusters.
• Strong networking fundamentals across routing, switching, segmentation, and secure design.
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD, and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Security/compliance understanding for regulated environments and defensible posture.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build ground and site network infrastructure across commercial and secured environments.
• Design, deploy, and scale highly available Kubernetes clusters for multi-level security workloads.
• Own security posture of ground infrastructure, enforce controls and compliance.
• Build infrastructure as code with Terraform/Terragrunt for repeatable environments.
• Establish observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) for proactive issue detection.
• Design and run CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and reduce manual work.
• Act as primary SRE for uptime, incident response, and reliability standards.
• Collaborate with security, mission operations, and program teams to meet requirements.
• Set architectural standards and mentor engineers on ground infrastructure.
