Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Ground Software team in Playa Vista, CA.

You will architect, deploy, and operate ground network infrastructure across secured environments, building highly available Kubernetes platforms and defining the security posture for mission-critical programs. This hands-on role places you as a primary technical owner, driving uptime, CI/CD, and observability while collaborating with security and mission operations to ensure

Qualifications

• 5+ years in site reliability, infrastructure, or network engineering within aerospace/defense
• Hands-on architecting and operating ground/network infrastructure
• Deep Kubernetes/container expertise in production environments
• Strong networking fundamentals for secure design
• Infrastructure as code with CI/CD, automation, and observability tools
• Security/compliance for classified environments and defensible posture
• Scripting in Python or Go

Responsibilities

• Architect and build ground and site network infrastructure across environments
• Design, deploy, and scale highly available Kubernetes clusters
• Own security posture of ground infrastructure and ensure compliance
• Build infrastructure as code with Terraform/Terragrunt for repeatability
• Establish observability with monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Design and run CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments
• Act as primary SRE for uptime and reliability on mission programs
• Partner with security, mission ops, and program teams to translate requirements
• Set architectural standards and mentor engineers
