Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. seeks a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate the ground network infrastructure linking facilities and mission ops. You will architect a highly available Kubernetes platform and define the security posture to keep compliance across environments.

You will own infrastructure as code, observability, and CI/CD pipelines, driving uptime for critical programs with limited downtime. This role is based in Playa Vista and offers a competitive package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of site reliability, infrastructure, or network engineering in mission-critical domains.
• Hands-on experience architecting and operating ground networks or large-scale production networks.
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes and containers in production.
• Strong networking fundamentals and secure design.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build ground and site network infrastructure across commercial and secured or classified environments.
• Design, deploy, and scale highly available Kubernetes clusters across multiple security levels.
• Own the security posture of ground infrastructure, defining controls, hardening and compliance.
• Build infrastructure as code using Terraform, Terragrunt, and similar tooling.
• Establish observability across the ground network with monitoring, metrics, logging, and alerting.
• Design and run CI/CD pipelines and automation to streamline deployments.
• Act as a primary site reliability engineer for ground systems, driving uptime and reliability standards.
• Partner with security, mission operations, and program teams to translate requirements into compliant, operable infrastructure.
• Set architectural standards and mentor other engineers.
