Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Spacecraft Propulsion Engineer to design, analyze, and configure the satellite propulsion subsystem for flight, ground support, and test equipment. You will produce drawings, support qualification testing, and present to executives and customers.

This 1st-shift onsite role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 3–5 years of propulsion experience, and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Design, develop, test propulsion systems for spacecraft.
• 3-5 years of experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD.
• 3-5 years of hands-on fabrication experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform propulsion design and configuration tasks to deliver high performance satellite systems.
• Perform first order layout and mass properties analyses of propulsion systems.
• Identify materials, processes, and facilities to deliver a qualified propulsion system.
• Procurement of propulsion components, write specifications and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support propulsion qualification testing including test design and interface equipment for unit under test.
• Produce part and assembly drawings for Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations.
• Deliver written and oral technical presentations to executives and customers.
• Identify and track subsystem schedule and deliverables.
• Develop and document required design processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
