Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Spacecraft Propulsion Engineer to lead design, analysis, and configuration of satellite propulsion subsystems. You will work on core propulsion components for flight, ground support, and test equipment, ensuring lifecycle readiness from prototyping through launch.

The role is 1st shift and onsite at a Boeing facility; candidates must have a STEM degree and 3–5 years in propulsion or CAD with TS/SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• Ability to design, develop, implement, and test propulsion systems for spacecraft.
• 3-5 years of experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD package.
• 3-5 years of hands-on fabrication experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform propulsion design and configuration tasks to deliver high performance satellite systems.
• Perform first order layout and mass properties analyses of propulsion systems.
• Identify materials, processes, and facilities necessary to deliver a qualified propulsion system.
• Procurement of propulsion components, author specifications and manage subcontractors and suppliers according to cost and schedule targets.
• Support propulsion qualification testing on propulsion systems and components including test design, test conduct, and interface equipment for unit under test.
• Produce part and assembly drawings to facilitate Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations.
• Prepare and deliver written and oral technical presentations to company executives and customers.
• Identify and track subsystem schedule and deliverables.
• Develop and document required design processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
