Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) invites electrical engineering students to join the Spacecraft Power Engineering team as a co-op/intern in Laurel, MD. You will analyze, test, and deliver analog power electronics for spaceflight applications, learning to design and test hardware while contributing to missions and advancing power technology with a collaborative team.

Minimum qualifications include a degree pursuit in Electrical Engineering, 3.3 GPA, and familiarity

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Available for 6–12 month term in Laurel, MD.
  • Familiar with analog circuit components and concepts.
  • Experience in DC/DC or AC/DC power conversion, battery packs, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, test, and deliver analog power electronics.
  • Work with full-time staff to learn design and test of hardware.
  • Develop analysis and simulation skills.
