Job summary

Aegis Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Spacecraft Mechanisms Engineer to support Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This full-time onsite role focuses on evaluating spacecraft mechanical systems, mechanisms, and flight hardware throughout design, analysis, testing, and integration.

The candidate will work with an integrated team across structures, thermal, electrical, and mission design to assess provider designs and ensure they meet mission requirements. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited university.
• Ten (10) or more years of relevant mechanical or aerospace engineering experience.
• Experience evaluating mechanical designs, drawings, CAD models, test results, and other technical products.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX and/or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical insight and assessment of spacecraft mechanical systems, mechanisms, and flight hardware.
• Evaluate provider mechanical designs, analyses, test approaches, and manufacturing considerations to identify technical risks.
• Oversee the design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, integration, and operation of spacecraft mechanical systems and mechanisms.
• Evaluate mechanisms such as hinges, latches, deployment systems, actuators, and doors.
