Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Crew Starship project. You will design and analyze spacecraft structures, mechanisms, and crew-interfacing hardware, owning hardware from concept through production and integration.

The role requires hands-on design, FEA, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to meet mission requirements and safety standards for lunar and Mars missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience (internships/extracurriculars qualify).
• Experience with aerospace or aviation structures and mechanisms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own design, analysis, and manufacturing of spacecraft structures and mechanisms.
• Perform hand calculations and FEA to optimize designs.
• Iterate manufacturing processes and testing in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware integration with Starship systems.
• Lead design reviews with suppliers and customers (e.g., NASA).
