Job summary

Cowboy Space Corporation in Kent, WA invites a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. Work alongside spacecraft engineers on the mechanical systems that enable orbital solar power satellites—covering design, thermal management, and assembly.

You will contribute to real hardware, learn from veterans who have built spacecraft at SpaceX, Blue Origin, NASA, and operate in a fast-paced startup environment on-site in Kent.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Coursework or hands-on project experience in mechanical design, structural analysis, or thermal systems.

Responsibilities

• Support design and analysis of structural, mechanical, or thermal subsystems using CAD tools.
• Help develop and execute test plans for mechanical hardware.
• Participate in build, integration and assembly of flight hardware.
• Analyze test data and generate technical reports with findings.
