Job summary

Cowboy Space Corporation is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Kent, WA. You will work with spacecraft engineers on mechanical systems for orbital solar power satellites, from design to test and assembly, gaining hands-on experience with space hardware.

You will join a team with SpaceX and NASA背景, contributing to real hardware on the path to flight while learning from veteran engineers in a fast-paced startup setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Hands-on project experience in mechanical design and thermal systems.
• Experience with hardware work and lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and analysis of structural, mechanical, or thermal subsystems.
• Help test mechanical hardware: structural, vibration, thermal, deployment.
• Participate in build, integration and lab assembly of hardware.
• Review drawings and coordinate with machinists or vendors.
• Document findings and provide design recommendations.
