Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to set operations direction for vehicle architectures and lead manufacturability considerations from concept to early design definition. You will drive DFX, support demonstrator builds, and create production readiness plans with inputs from design, program management, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the manufacturing technical focal for assigned subsystems and AI&T activities, establishing manufacturing plans for vehicle architectures.
• Plan for and support builds of engineering demonstrators, test articles, and prototype hardware, providing hands-on support during fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Drive Design for Excellence (DFX) principles and conduct producibility assessments to bridge manufacturing technology gaps.
• Develop production readiness artifacts and build strategies, including capacity plans and tooling designs.
• Partner with Program Management, Design Engineering, and Operations to identify risks and influence design decisions.
