Job summary

Leidos is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for the 2nd shift in Huntsville, AL, to lead electrical floor operations and develop automated test scripts for spaceflight instrument testing. The role requires coordinating with Planning, Production Control, Engineers, and Operations Leads to ensure testing occurs on schedule and quality is maintained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with manufacturing, assembly, and integration with electrical/electromechanical components.
• Ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to relocate to Huntsville, AL area and work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage Manufacturing Orders to meet project schedules.
• Use MES software (Solumina) to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
• Generate MBOMS and routings to support production.
• Plan and maintain production flow using MRP and change management.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations Leads, and Inventory Control.
• Oversee and optimize production from raw materials to finished products.
