Job summary

Leonardo seeks a Ground System Controller to strengthen the Ground System Control team supporting ISS (Columbus) Operations, with operations in Oberpfaffenhofen, near Munich. The role features a 16x5 rotating shift pattern, onsite training, and opportunities to work on critical space projects.

Responsibilities include supporting scheduled simulations, preparing ground segment systems, and coordinating with subsystem engineers to implement changes.

Qualifications

• Good technical background in Telecommunication, Aerospace, or IT-related stream; engineering degree preferred but not mandatory due to onsite training.
• Confident in dealing with Operations and ability to work in a rotating shift environment.
• Good knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in programming, networking, and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Ground system operations support in a 16x5 rotating shift pattern and offline setup.
• Support scheduled simulations and test operations for ISS Columbus activities.
• Prepare ground segment systems for scheduled activities, focusing on Data Services and Monitoring & Control subsystems.
• Collaborate with subsystem engineers to implement and document service changes.
• Participation in on-call services and updating procedures and training materials.
