Job summary

Redwire Space Missions LLC in Littleton, CO is seeking a Software Engineer (all levels) to design, develop, integrate and test software for spacecraft avionics and mission systems. You will own modules through full lifecycle and work with systems, electrical, and test teams to ensure reliable flight and ground software for mission success.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering or CS and 5+ years in high‑reliability embedded software, with experience in C/C++, embedded

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years designing software for high reliability embedded systems.
• Experience with NASA Core Flight System Framework and OpenC3/Cosmos.
• Familiarity with avionics interfaces and protocols (MIL-STD-1553, CAN, SpaceWire, RS-422, Ethernet).
• Version control and issue-tracking (Git, SVN, JIRA, Confluence).
• Solid knowledge of C/C++, Ubuntu/RHEL, and .NET applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test software for spacecraft avionics and mission systems.
• Own software modules through requirements, architecture, coding, verification, and delivery.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, and test teams to enable reliable flight and ground software.
• Draft and release requirements, design specifications, and interface docs.
• Develop software test procedures and support system testing.
