Job summary

Blue Origin in New York is seeking an experienced Test Harness and Electrical Designer to own requirements collection, harness design, and drawing creation with rapid turnaround and high quality deliverables. You will begin with minimal harness definition from test engineers, identify gaps, collaborate to close them, and drive the design toward a released state while upholding safety and mission integrity.

You will work with a team dedicated to safe, repeatable spaceflight as part of Blue

Qualifications

Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience in cable shield grounding/bonding methods and requirements.
Knowledge of Creo CAD and Windchill PDM systems.
Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Lead design reviews for own work, and coordinate across cross-functional teams.
U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

Own requirements collection, harness design, and drawing creation with quick turnaround.
Identify gaps in harness definitions and collaborate with test engineers to close them.
Drive rapid progression to a released design while ensuring safety and quality.
Lead cross-functional design reviews with avionics, electrical systems, and manufacturing.
