Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to design, develop, and integrate EGSE hardware and software for satellite assembly, integration, and test. You will work with systems, avionics, RF, payload, and flight software teams to define architectures and interfaces.

The role includes developing automated test sequences, executing RF campaigns on phased array antennas, and scaling test infrastructure for higher production throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related technical field
• 8+ years of experience in EGSE design, development, and integration for aerospace or satellite systems
• Experience with RF test systems including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, VNA, channel emulators, power meters
• Hands-on phased array antenna test and characterization including beam steering, gain, EIRP, radiation pattern testing
• Knowledge of RF fundamentals including link budgets, noise figure, return loss, gain flatness, spurious emissions
• Experience with automated test software development using Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or equivalent
• Ability to define EGSE requirements and interface control documents from system-level specs
• Experience with hardware and software configuration management for EGSE systems

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate EGSE hardware and software to support satellite production
• Define EGSE architecture and interface requirements with systems, avionics, RF, payload, and flight software teams
• Develop and maintain automated test sequences and scripts for high-volume production workflows
• Execute and support RF test campaigns on phased array antenna systems and characterize performance
• Maintain configuration control and calibration status across EGSE assets
• Author and execute test procedures, interface control documents, and test readiness reviews
• Track and drive closure on test anomalies across subsystem teams
• Support scaling test infrastructure as production rate increases — identify gaps and propose solutions
• Work hands-on with hardware on production floor during satellite integration and test campaigns
