Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced EGSE engineer to design, integrate, and automate test systems for satellite assembly and verification. You will define requirements, collaborate across RF, avionics, and flight software teams, and lead automated testing campaigns to support high-volume production.

The role emphasizes hands-on work on the production floor, rigorous configuration control, and continuous improvement of test workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related technical field.
• 8+ years of EGSE design, development, and integration experience in aerospace or satellite systems.
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment incl. VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and channel emulators.
• Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced development environments.
• Ability to define EGSE requirements and interface control documents from system-level specs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate EGSE hardware/software for satellite assembly, integration, and test across production lifecycles.
• Define architecture and interfaces in coordination with systems, avionics, RF, payload, and flight software teams.
• Develop automated test sequences and scripts to support high-volume satellite production workflows.
• Execute RF test campaigns on phased array antennas and characterize beam steering, EIRP, and gain patterns.
• Maintain configuration control and calibration status across all EGSE assets.
• Author/test procedures, interface control documents, and test readiness reviews.
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for test anomalies across subsystems.
• Scale test infrastructure with production rate increases and plan EGSE roadmap deliverables.
• Work hands-on with hardware on the production floor during integration/test campaigns.
