Job summary

BlackSky is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to manage cost and asset accounting at the Tukwila, WA facility. The role collaborates with Supply Chain, Production, and Engineering to optimize costs, monitor inventory, and drive profitability.

Hybrid work arrangement requires in-office presence at least two days per week. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cost accounting in manufacturing, strong GAAP knowledge, and leadership abilities to guide cross-functional teams through complex cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive cost controlling and accounting experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Track production costs, materials, labor, and overhead for accurate job costing.
• Conduct variance analysis to understand deviations from standard costs and budgets.
• Prepare and present timely financial reports to the Corporate Controller and stakeholders.
• Support monthly close processes and ensure GAAP compliance.
