Astranis, headquartered in Northern California, invites CAD Engineer/Librarian Interns for Summer 2027 to join our space hardware team. Interns model and draw components, maintain the design library, and document considerate practices that enable efficient, safe design for spacecraft.

Requirements include a four‑year B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, or related fields (or pursuing an MS), passion for hands‑on hardware development, and SolidWorks and GD&T experience.

Qualifications

• Four-year B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical degree (or pursuing MS).
• Hands-on hardware development experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and engineering drawings including GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for spacecraft and supporting structures.
• Maintain and improve the design library and data infrastructure.
• Develop and document practices that enable good and efficient design.
