Job summary

Astranis is seeking a CAD Engineer/Librarian Intern for Spring 2027 in Northern California. Interns work on challenging hardware/software projects related to spacecraft, with many interns advancing to full-time roles.

The internship runs twelve weeks, is hourly, and targets students currently enrolled in college or university; graduates may apply to become Associate Engineer. Base pay is $29 per hour, with U.S. work eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, or related technical degree.
• Strong interest in hardware development and hands-on work.
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for spacecraft and supporting structures.
• Maintain and improve the design library and data infrastructure.
• Develop, ideate, and document best practices for good and efficient design.
