Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies in Northern California seeks a CAD Engineer Intern for Winter 2027 to model and draw spacecraft components, maintain the design library, and contribute to data infrastructure.

You are currently pursuing a B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering, have hands-on hardware passion, and experience with SolidWorks, GD&T, and engineering drawings. This twelve-week, hourly internship offers hands-on spaceflight hardware experience and a path to full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, or an equivalent technical degree.
• Has a passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment with hands-on development.
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures.
• Maintain and improve our design library and data infrastructure.
• Develop, ideate, and document considerate practices that enable good and efficient design.
