Job summary

Astranis is seeking a CAD Engineer Intern for Spring 2027 in Northern California. You will model, draw, and document spacecraft components, while helping maintain the design library and data infrastructure in a hands-on hardware environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a B.S. program (mechanical, aerospace, or related), have SolidWorks experience, and understand GD&T and engineering drawings. The internship runs ~twelve weeks and is hourly.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in mechanical, aerospace or equivalent technical degree.
• Passion for hardware development in fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures.
• Maintain and improve our design library and data infrastructure.
• Develop, ideate, and document considerate practices that enable good and efficient design.
