Job summary

Astranis is seeking a CAD Engineer Associate for a Winter 2027 program in Northern California. The twelve-week, salaried position targets new graduates who will contribute to hardware and software design for satellites.

As an Associate, you will model components and manifolds, improve the design library, and document best practices to enable efficient design workflows. Prior SolidWorks and GD&T experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year B.S. degree or current MS in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical field.
• Passion for hardware development and hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures.
• Maintain and improve our design library and data infrastructure.
• Develop, ideate, and document considerate practices that enable good and efficient design.
