Job summary

Astranis seeks a CAD Engineer/Librarian Intern for Spring 2027 at its Northern California headquarters. You will model and draw spacecraft components, maintain the design library, and help document considerate design practices. Internships last twelve weeks and are hourly roles for students enrolled in college or university.

You will work on challenging problems with potential to advance to full-time roles; a background in SolidWorks is required and GD&T/drawings experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical field.
• Interest in hardware development and hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SolidWorks and GD&T/engineering drawings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures.
• Maintain and improve the design library and data infrastructure.
• Develop, ideate, and document considerate practices that enable good and efficient design.
