Job summary

Astranis is seeking a CAD Engineer Associate for Summer 2027 to work on spacecraft components, structures, and manifolds. You will model and draw parts and maintain the design library as part of a small, high-impact team.

This 12-week salaried program targets new grads with a four-year degree and emphasizes hands-on hardware development, solidWorks proficiency, and GD&T with engineering drawings for spaceflight hardware.

Qualifications

• Hold a four-year B.S. degree or currently pursuing a M.S. in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent technical degree
• Has a passion for hardware development in fast-paced, hands-on environments
• Experience with SolidWorks; familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings

Responsibilities

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for spacecraft and supporting structures
• Maintain and improve design library and data infrastructure
• Develop, ideate, and document considerate practices that enable good design
