Job summary

Astranis seeks an Avionics Integration Engineer to develop, design, and implement tests for electronics on spacecraft. You will validate avionics, power, propulsion, and thermal designs to ensure on-orbit success.

You will write object-oriented Python to control test equipment and interface with flight hardware, lead large test campaigns, and collaborate with design teams to improve qualification and acceptance processes.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
• 1+ years of experience or equivalent internship or project experience
• Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals
• Experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc)
• Experience with debugging systems and circuits with multiple layers of hardware and software integration
• Experience working with and comprehending wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, block diagrams, and more.
• Exposure to turning high-level requirements into clear design/test objectives
• A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development

Responsibilities

• Develop and design automated hardware and software solutions to test+validate flight-worthy hardware
• Firefight complex vehicle electrical systems issues
• Design PCBA's to interface with flight hardware
• Write software in object-oriented Python to control test equipment, custom hardware, and our satellites.
• Ensure we deliver high caliber products by implementing new integration and test processes that will raise our efficiency without compromising quality.
• Lead large, high-visibility test campaigns with multiple stakeholders across the company.
