Job summary

Astranis, based in Northern California, is seeking Associate Engineers to join the avionics team. You will work on building and testing flight hardware, designing test equipment, and bringing up designs in the lab, contributing to satellites heading to space.

Candidates should have a four-year degree in EE or CE, experience with Python or C++, and a drive to design and test hardware end-to-end. U.S. citizenship or equivalent is required; graduate studies after the program are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Python and/or C++.
• Ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
• US Citizenship or Green Card required.
• Willingness to pursue graduate study after the associate role.

Responsibilities

• Work with the avionics engineering team to build and test flight hardware
• Design test equipment to validate designs under stressed conditions
• Bring up and debug designs in the lab
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware
• Assist with low level software to interface with spacecraft subsystems
